CosmeticBusiness 2021: A Successful Trade Fair Behind Us

After more than two years of pandemic-related interruption, CosmeticBusiness was finally able to take place again. On October 20 and 21, we participated with an exhibition stand and an innovative product concept.


After more than two years of pandemic-related interruption, CosmeticBusiness was finally able to take place again. On October 20 and 21, we participated with an exhibition stand and an innovative product concept.

Key figures

A total of 272 exhibitors and companies from 19 countries showcased their innovations for the development and marketing of cosmetic products across 11,000 square meters. “It was clearly noticeable that exhibitors and visitors had been longing for personal and professional exchange at CosmeticBusiness,” said Markus Geisenberger, Managing Director of Leipziger Messe. The trade fair marked a successful restart and was a complete success.

Positive conclusion

As an exhibitor, we were very satisfied with the restart of CosmeticBusiness. Our expectations for the trade fair were exceeded. We were finally able to meet many of our existing customers in person again and also establish new contacts. Our booth was consistently well attended, and engaging conversations made the event a great success.

Sustainability continues to grow in importance

Sustainability in general, as well as sustainable packaging trends, are increasingly shaping the cosmetics industry. With our product innovation presented for the first time at CosmeticBusiness, we hit exactly the right note. Our innovative refill concept follows the megatrend of “flexible packaging” and breaks new ground in the industry.

Filling cosmetics and household products into bag-in-box systems or refill pouches is revolutionizing how products are used and consumed. A key feature is the combination of refill packs with an airtight dispensing tap, which ensures hygiene by preventing air from entering while also providing easy handling. A particular highlight was the on-site “dispensing station,” where visitors could refill their own shampoo directly at the booth.

Looking ahead with optimism

Two successful days are behind us, filled with many encounters, interesting discussions, new contacts, and a great deal of enthusiasm. After challenging months in the cosmetics industry, we are now looking to the future with optimism.
